Radical Transparency and Fiscal Accountability
Citizens deserve to know exactly how their money is spent. I will provide: (1) A list for all entities/funds the Auditor's office is responsible for auditing. (2) This list will detail last completed audits, when re-audits will be conducted and status of the completion of report recommendations. (3) Each completed audit report will link to the full detail of recommendations and completion status of each.
End Fraud, Waste and Abuse
Millions of dollars of your money are lost to waste, fraud and abuse every year. Yet there is no record on the Auditor's website of any embezzlement cases since 2024 — and that was for a big $234.00! Before that the last case was in 2021. Also, under investigations on the website there is no record of any investigations referred to the Attorney General's office. This is totally unacceptable. I will: (1) Ensure all appropriate investigations are referred to the AG's office. (2) Post all referrals to the AG's office on the Auditor's website. (3) List the number of reports of fraud, waste and abuse made by the public by type/agency for the public to view.
